These are the questions I answer most often on the phone. If yours isn't here, call and I'll answer it directly.
What areas do you serve?
I cover seven counties around Palestine: Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Smith, Leon, Freestone, and Houston. Because I'm mobile, I come to your home, office, hospital, or wherever we agree to meet. If your town isn't on my list, call and ask; I often travel beyond it.
How much does a mobile notary cost?
Texas sets the maximum fee per signature, and mobile notaries add a travel fee based on how far I'm driving. Call (903) 724-0608 or request a quote and I'll give you the full price before we ever meet, so there are no surprises.
Do you notarize at hospitals, care facilities, and jails?
Yes. I meet clients at homes, hospitals, assisted-living and care facilities, and correctional facilities. These are often stressful, time-sensitive situations, and I treat them that way.
What do I need to bring to a notary appointment?
Have the unsigned document ready and a valid, government-issued photo ID: a driver's license, state ID, or passport. One important thing: don't sign ahead of time. By law, you have to sign in front of me.
Are you insured and certified?
Yes. I've been a commissioned Texas Notary Public since 2001, carry a $1,000,000 Errors & Omissions insurance policy, and am certified and background-screened through the National Notary Association (NNA).
Can you handle loan signings and real estate closings?
That's a big part of what I do. As a certified NNA Signing Agent I handle purchase closings, refinances, reverse mortgages, and Texas Home Equity (HELOC) loans, and I return the package complete and on schedule for the title company or lender.
